BLACKHEAD Installation

For BLACKHEAD’s new store at Panlong Tiandi—a revitalized 700-year-old water town reimagined as a contemporary cultural hub—I created a site-specific particle installation that bridges heritage and digital expression. The project responds to the location’s layered history, translating organic forms into a dynamic visual language that complements the brand’s spatial identity.

At the core of the installation is a particle-based tree trunk system that continuously constructs and deconstructs itself, acting as a digital twin of the physical sculptural elements within the store. Designed to echo growth, fragmentation, and renewal, the motion brings a sense of life and transformation into the retail environment.

The visuals were deployed across four LED screens throughout the space, creating a cohesive, immersive atmosphere that evolves in real time. By blending generative motion with spatial design, the installation transforms the store into a living environment—where digital and physical elements coexist and amplify one another.
